Make your dream a meme
This quiet little creek side artist’s tree house affectionately referred to as the Lotus Pad, is nestled under the sheltering sycamores just north of the new Tlaquepaque North. This is where the ever popular Desert Lotus Altars® and fine art paintings are imagined and then manifested by longtime Sedona artist, Pamela Becker with the help of a few beloved elves.
Here you will find creative inspiration sourced from open space and 30 years of professional experience incorporating and navigating between design, illustration, fine art, marketing and publishing-both print and web.
These skills have been long cultivated upon inherent talents in both marketing and art. Unwilling to choose between these loves, Pamela honors and hones both as daily practice and living. Having graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design the very year before the world turned to computers for design, Pamela has been traditionally trained as an illustrator and designer in hand methods as well as digital, often coming up with unique imagery and problem solving that only this combination of skills could offer. The gift of being able to conceptually create and translate concepts into sketches and then into quality illustration, fine art, photography or design is an essential communicative practice towards cultivating satisfied clients. Then having vast experience in knowing what is necessary to get a high quality job completed on time and within budget is the final but necessary step.
Illustration, Design, Marketing and Fine Art come together at Big Vision. There is a collaboration of the parts born from creativity, seeking new angles, new understandings and a business paradigm that honors integrity, unique vision, quality, customer satisfaction and beauty.
Visit fine artist and designer Pamela Becker, at her working studio and gallery on the first floor towards the creek at Creekside Plaza. Most days of the week you can stop in and see the artist in motion!
Illustration: the use of artistic skills to manifest another’s vision down to detail of style, palette and symbolism that specifically expresses and communicates a concept or sense that implies the nature of the client’s need.
Fine art: examined truth that has the ability to arrest and transform the viewer. Art serves as a tool to recognize something subconscious but also familiar so we can bring it to the surface to be experienced and learned from.
Marketing: the use of design and sometimes illustration for the purpose of generating of sales, promotion and being seen in a consistently crafted manner as to create a meme or need for the client’s brand.
Design: the incorporation of text, font, imagery to create a brand, or recognizable face for the client. The whole encompasses the parts and orchestrates the necessary message or feeling for display in print or web.
where these meet: in the Big Vision, there is a collaboration of the parts born from creativity, seeking new angles, new understandings and a business paradigm that honors integrity, unique vision, quality, customer satisfaction and beauty.
